Intersperse Online Magnetic Poetry With Solitaire
When most people who use computers get bored, or when they think no one is looking, you’ll see them head for the game links, or solitaire. They even do this at work but game pros can shift screens in a nano second when a supervisor ambles by. I’m harmless, so no one hides their games from me anymore. Hell, I’m retiring. I have walked in sacred work places and seen everyone from alpha dogs to scardy cats trying to shift screens to hide what they are really doing instead of what they are supposed to be doing. And hey, it takes one to know one!
So, I most always take my laptop when traveling and I’ve found a new way to counter boredom and stress; I play online Magnetic Poetry if I can get a dial-up. As a frugal person, I haven't gone wireless yet. I’m a poet at heart and with all the word categories online Magnetic Poetry gives you, there is no reason to exclusively play solitaire online anymore. Like Steve Martin in Lonely Guy, I pretend my room is filled with people, especially in lonely hotel rooms, while I write online poems and pretend I’m in a tournament with dozens of others. Try it sometime.
