Well, my grandson is essentially moved. He slept at his mom's home last night and came back tonight to box up the remaining stuff which he'll move sometime tomorrow, along with his last piece of furniture--his computer desk.
The prep for the painting begins in the morning--and I'm going to stop rambling on about this. I miss him and I'm relieved he's gone. Now, the next chapter of all our lives begins.
This afternoon was my yearly mammogram which is always a fear and pain-packed experience in that I have been diagnosed twice early with breast cancer as a result of this technology. I am grateful, but I'm always anxious, too. There was a problem today getting good film, so keep good thoughts.
By the way, I just finished Khaled Hosseini's "A Thousand Splendid Suns," which I cannot recommend enough. On the other hand, I watched a 2005 Sundance film "Only Joy" tonight--and though it apparently got rave reviews, it was a little too arty for my enjoyment. Have you seen it?
